Tulsa Day Center Looks for Communities Help in Winter Months

Tulsa Day Center

Tulsa Day Center is committed to their vision for every Tulsan to have a home, but its only becoming more challenging.

  • Bread and Butter: In 2022 the Center served between 200-400 clients a day. Their work goes beyond basic needs as they offer individuals on the verge of homelessness medial assistance, legal help, and stable housing opportunities. Of the 1,000+ people served in 2021 over 10.5% were veterans.

  • Donation Delivery: Men’s clothing tops the list of needs for clients at the Center. This includes underwear, gently used athletic shoes, sweatshirts, and pants. If you have items to donate, you can drop them off at the center between 8a-5p. Monetary donations are needed to shop for cold weather clothing.

Tulsa International Airport Announces Plans to Build International Concourse

Narrate

It just keeps getting more convenient for travelers at Tulsa International Airport. First, a new VIP lounge and now direct international flights!

  • Take Me Away: Major Improvements for TIA mean nonstop international flights will be landing in the next 5 years. Construction on a new Federal Inspection Services wing of the airport starts next month. The $30M project will include customs and an international terminal.

  • A Sweet Escape: The largest international destination is Cancun right now with about 50 passengers a day. It jumps to about 80 in the summer. Los Cabos, Mexico was the second most popular international flight destination. Airport officials say direct flights would start on a limited schedule instead of daily once the new wing is complete.
