Kid Activities Around Tulsa
Whether it’s a rainy day, a day off school, brainstorming weekend, summer, or holiday plans, this guide serves as a kickstart to your planning for the little one’s activities!
The Architect’s Newspaper
The Gathering Place, without a doubt, is the best activity for kids in Tulsa, in our opinion of course! Its free playgrounds, art attractions, and walking trails makes it a fun and exciting attraction for the parents too. There is something for everyone, even your sweet tooth! With a coffee and ice cream shop located in Williams Lodge, and an upscale dining experience at the Vista at the Boathouse, there really is something for the kids and the adults!
The Discovery Lab
Located right next door to the Gathering Place, the Discovery Lab is a great indoor alternative for a rainy, hot, or cold day! The Discovery Lab is divided into multiple exhibits that each explore a different scientific subject. These rooms are not only educational, but fun! The Lab has tape tunnels, slides, and ball pits for an interactive and exciting experience!
Tulsa Air and Space Museum
Explore the vintage aircrafts, see a show at the planetarium, or just let your child unleash their inner astronaut at Tulsa’s Air and Space Museum. This is a must see attraction!
Oklahoma Aquarium
If you haven’t been here already, you’re missing out. Equipped with a shark cave and interactive exhibits, the Oklahoma Aquarium is a must see for you and your family. We can promise it is just as much fun for you as it is for your children!
Damon’s Droneography
Tulsa’s Double-A MLB Farm team, the Tulsa Drillers, is an incredible experience for you and your family! With general admission tickets on the lawn, your kids can run around and play on the playground while you enjoy the game! In the summer, fireworks are displayed at the end of every Friday game, making it an unforgettable memory!
Tulsa Zoo
Featuring an indoor rainforest and unique features of different ecosystems around the world, the Tulsa Zoo is home to 84 acres inhabited by 1,400 animals. With great playgrounds, train rides, restaurants and more, this is a great option for you and your family to visit.
Located in the heart of downtown, the Tulsa City-County Library is a great place to explore and read! There are plenty of other Tulsa Libraries like Hardesty Regional and others, but this new remodel of the City-County Library is hard to beat, making it a great rainy day activity for you and your family.
