New East Tulsa Mural Brings Vibrancy and Highlights Culture in the Area

Everyone hop in the car. Let’s go for a drive to see Tulsa’s latest beautiful mural!

• Color and Culture: Located near 23rd and Garnett, a new mural featuring a blend of Hispanic, Asian and African American culture is complete. It is painted by VNICE, an artist born in Mexico who’s lived in Tulsa since age 7. He says the area is a melting pot for culture and was thrilled to be selected to replace vandal graffiti with storytelling paintings.

• The Details: The mural was completed through ‘Tulsa Creates Together’ which is a site-specific art campaign presented by Living Arts of Tulsa in partnership with the George Kaiser Family Foundation.

Tulsa’s Gathering Place Offers Spring Guide Full of Free Entertainment

The sun goes down later, and Gathering Place just got greater!

• Gather for Greatness: With more sunlight hanging around T-town, the Gathering Place has extended park hours. The park where nature meets City is blooming with fun all lined out in this spring guide. See the Chapman Adventure Playground, the Skate Park and BMX Pump Track, join an action-packed pickup game of basketball or journey through the luscious urban gardens.

• Spring Into Action: As for safety, parents and caretakers can stop by the Guest Services desk in Williams Lodge to pick up a wristband for their child. Parents and caretakers can write down their phone number and attach the band to their child’s wrist so that staff can easily find parents and caretakers who have been separated from their child.

It’s Soccer Time! FC Tulsa Home Opener Kicks Off Friday

Got plans Friday night? Here’s something to kick around. FC Tulsa will score big with your family at ONEOK Field.

• Goooalllll: It’s the best fireworks display in town; the one that goes boom over the downtown Tulsa skyline each time the FC Tulsa Soccer Team scores. The home opener is April 5th and you won’t want to miss the fun. The playground will be in full swing and you can count on a magnet giveaway.

• Beers for Ball Watching: FC Tulsa will face Phoenix Rising at 7:30p. They are bringing back $1 beer section nights for 2024. Grab some friends and head over to the party in the Midfield Terrace. For $15 (plus fees), you can drink $1 cans of domestic beers until the 75th minute. I.D.’s please! You obviously have to be 21+ for this one.
