Let’s Play Some Football! Here’s How OU, OSU and TU Scored Over the Weekend
OU and OSU ran for the win Saturday while TU was faced with a tough test.
Oklahoma Teams Turned Up the Heat Saturday: OU played SMU for the first time since 1995 at a sold out Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Sooners won 28-11 over SMU with some incredible highlights. The Cowboys also walked away with a win despite extreme temps. They saddled up against Arizona State on their turf in Tempe Arizona. Despite one of the hottest games in history at 104 degrees, OSU scorched a 27-15 win over the Sun Devils.
Tulsa Hurricane Faced With a Tough Test : The Golden Hurricane stopped in Seattle for the big game against 8th ranked Washington. The second game for the Golden Hurricane didn’t turn out as planned with a 43-10 loss. Coach Kevin Wilson says, there are still some things to be proud of.

We Made the List! A Green Country Restaurant Chosen as One of the ‘South’s New Best’

Tulsa State Fair
If Southern Living says we are part of the soulful south, we’ll take it! The Native American cuisine at Broken Arrow’s NATV Restaurant is turning heads and tempting tastebuds.
Modern Menu: NATV owner Jacque Siegfried says there's much more to Native American food than what you might normally imagine. While Indian Tacos are delicious, she prefers using her experience from her days at the Duck Club, Cedar Ridge Country Club, the Boiler Room at the Mayo and Tulsa Club’s Chamber Restaurant to highlight her roots the rich way. Blue corn tortillas stuffed with shredded bison and gnocchi prepared with pecan flower and sun chokes is just one menu item of many true to the region for thousands of years.
Destination for Delectable Dining: A short drive to Broken Arrow’s Main Street will give you a dine in experience you won’t forget, but catering is another great way to savor the bison sliders, relish boards and trio corn cakes.
Make your reservation, order food for your next party or view the entire NATV menu HERE.

Paying it Forward. One Chef’s Culinary Cause for Cultivating Creativity
Tulsa Chef Sarah Leavell found her love for cooking in culinary school and now she’s helping other aspiring chefs do the same.
A Savory Start: Oklahoma ProStart is a school-to-career program developed by the National Restaurant Association. It’s a program that Chef Sarah Leavell strongly believes in. She started cooking at the age of 18 after losing her father unexpectedly. The oldest of 9 children, she knew leadership was in her future. Now she creates beautiful meals for crowds of 5,500+ at Tulsa’s BOK and COX Convention Centers. She’s signed on to take her talents back to the culinary classroom as a way to give back in honor of all those who helped her along her tasty trek.
Prepared for Prestige: Culinary certification with Oklahoma ProStart opens many doors for students with dreams of careers in the kitchen. Select high school teams get the chance to compete at the ProStart Student National Invitational in Washington D.C. and chef Leavell hopes to use her love for a la cart food art to lead them there.

Cha-Ching! We’ve Got the List of Oklahoma’s Richest People
Oklahoma may not be known for the razzle dazzle of the Big Apple or the City of Angels, but it sure is home to some of the wealthiest self made men and women this side of the windy plains.
A Grateful Way to Gather: George Kaiser tops the list of wealthiest Oklahomans at an estimated net worth of 13.2 billion and is the 467th richest person in the world. He’s best known around Tulsa for his Foundation’s backing of Tulsa’s own Gathering Place and boy are we thankful for that 100-acre park along the scenic Arkansas River!
How They Made the Moolah: Some of Oklahoma’s richest men and women inherited their wealth but most of them are self made and worked hard to get to where they are today. Oil and gas operations, coal refineries and travel stops are just a few places these millionaires and billionaires started banking their bucks.
