The National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) has kicked off the MARS EQUESTRIAN Hackamore Classic at the Tulsa Expo Center, marking its inaugural event in the city. The event, which will run annually for the next three years, is set to showcase some of the world’s leading equestrian talents and the industry's top 4- and 5-year-old horses.

  • Competitive Highlights: The main competition will feature contestants in traditional hackamore headgear competing through the herd, rein, and cow events. Additionally, the event will host the final qualifier for Taylor Sheridan’s The Run For A Million Cow Horse Challenge and the inaugural World’s Greatest Non-Pro.

  • Economic Impact: Drawing over 650 horses and nearly 2,000 competitors and fans from across the country, the event is expected to provide a significant economic boost to the region. The event is estimated to have a direct economic impact of more than $2.5 million, with the total impact predicted at nearly $4.5 million.
