Killers of the Flower Moon Hits Theaters Friday and Tourism Has Already Spiked in Osage County
Movie critics are calling it the best performance of Leonardo DiCaprio’s entire career, so naturally it was filmed right here in the great state of Oklahoma.
Patronizing Pawhuska: The town of Pawhuska was transformed into a movie set for months while Martin Scorsese film crews rolled tape. Chamber and City leaders say they’ve seen people from across the country visit and they are happy to roll out the red carpet. Many storefronts usually closed on Sundays are open in anticipation of the movie hype.
Surrounding Cities Soar: Many sets for the movie were built in neighboring cities like Bartlesville where there’s a boom happening. The town already had a lot to offer but now the nostalgia of Killers of the Flower Moon is highlighting places like Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve, the Kiddie Park and Frank Lloyd Wright’s only realized skyscraper, the Price Tower.
Read more about places to scope out that will be featured in Killer’s of the Flower Moon.
