Oklahoma is a Showstopper When it Comes to Scenes, Sets and Stars! See a List of Famous Films Shot Here

Killers of the Flower Moon

There’s a little movie that was filmed in our own backyard that hits theaters October 20th but Killers of the Flower Moon isn’t Oklahoma’s only claim to fame.

  • Twisted Tickets: Many movie tickets have been bought over the years for films shot right here in the great state of Oklahoma. ‘Twister’ was filmed in Guthrie. ‘Rain Man’ was the top grossing film in 1988 and shot in Oklahoma City and Guthrie. ‘Where the Red Fern Grows’ was shot in Tahlequah.

  • Outsiders On-set: ‘The Outsiders’ is Tulsa’s on-screen star. The Outsiders House Museum has been wonderfully preserved as a way to remind us to ‘Stay Gold!’ Based on the novel by S.E. Hinton, this coming-of-age drama follows a group of teenagers in Tulsa and features iconic locations like the Admiral Twin Drive-In and Will Rogers High School.
