A $20M Hotel and Shopping Development Planned for Bixby

CJC Architects

Spartan Square will offer a hotel with conference center, shopping, office spaces and plenty of parking for the crowds it will draw.

  • Stay a While: Located in downtown Bixby just near City Hall, the new development with a Hilton Hotel and 200 parking spaces will accommodate families who visit the nearby sports facilities for weekend tournaments.

  • Groundbreaking Goods: The project is expected to break ground in January. Project leaders say it could take up to 14 months to complete. They hope to finish the parking spaces in the first phase to give business owners and residents already located in the downtown area a space to park and watch the progress.

Put the turkey in the oven on low and lace up for the Von Franken Family Food Run for a good cause.

  • Will Run For Food: Line up at the River West Festival Park Thursday morning and get ready to run! The 40+ year tradition was started by five women with a spontaneous idea to combine a Thanksgiving morning run and donating food to those in need. The Von Franken Family Food Run has no entry fee, just bring a bag of non-perishable food or a toy to donate and hit the ground running.

  • Trot Like a Turkey: The Run/walk starts at 9am but arrive early and catch up with friends! Stay after the run to win some awesome swag during the raffle. The event is hosted by the Tulsa Running Club and supports the Salvation Army’s food drive and Angel Tree. Oklahoma Alliance for Animals also will be there to collect supplies.

The entire family is welcome for the 5K run, even the 4-legged ones.
