Get your popcorn ready and settle in for a 3+ hour movie featuring parts of the great state of Oklahoma! Killers of the Flower Moon opens October 20th.

  • It’s Showtime: Killers of the Flower Moon could open with a bang. Box office movie buffs expect the opening weekend to bring in more than $24-million! Watch out Barbie. It is the 2nd longest film by Martin Scorsese at 3 hours and 26 minutes. It’s well worth seeing the sites of the movie set which was primarily based in Pawhuska Oklahoma.

  • Tickets Please: It is estimated that Killers of the Flower Moon staring Leonardo DiCaprio provided for more that 8-thousand jobs in Oklahoma. Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Art and Culture leaders say the film which was based on a true story is a prime example of why Oklahoma and Green Country are perfect locations to shoot.

Turkey Mountain is About to Expand by 80+ Acres

Turkey Mountain

The great mountain that we all know and love for hiking and and camping is about to expand its footprint. 

  • Move On the Mountain: The River Parks Authority announced plans to build a new visitors center on site at Turkey Mountain. It has a price tag of around $5-million. A $2-million grant has already been awarded that will expand the current footprint by 80+ acres.

  • Mountain Top Upgrades: Some amazing upgrades have already been made to Turkey Mountain including Oklahoma's largest natural stone staircase, restroom facilities, and revamped trails.

Oklahoma Film Makers Face Serious Mental Health Troubles Among Young People Head On

What Rhymes With Reason

‘What Rhymes With Reason’ is a film shot in Oklahoma and is a powerful resource for addressing teen depression and suicide.

  • Mental Health Hope: What Rhymes With Reason is a film that will only be in theaters on October 10th. It was created in response to a rising number of suicide rates in the age group 10 to 25. According to the CDC the rate jumped 60% nationally. The two Oklahoma filmmakers say they hope the movie promotes a positive change.

  • Help With My Friends: The movie’s release date is also World Mental Health Day. The movie trailer depicts a group of friends who go on an adventure to find a landmark in the wilderness “while confronting the darkness within themselves.” It will debut in 650 theaters across the nation.
