Basque to close its doors on Feb 15th.

Restaurant Basque, named one of Tulsa World’s Best New Restaurants of 2021, will close after service on Feb. 15. Chef Andrew Donovan, who crafted the menu after touring the Basque region, will continue as the chef at Amelia’s. Eesley expressed gratitude for the restaurant’s loyal guests and staff, hoping to retain as many employees as possible while ensuring a memorable farewell.

Restaurant Basque will conclude its run with a special Valentine’s Day menu, available from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14-15. The menu will feature pistachio-crusted sea scallops paired with potato pancakes and steelhead trout roe, followed by Chilean sea bass tartare with caramelized banana and avocado. Guests can enjoy a red wine and pomegranate-braised venison shank served with cauliflower soubise and maitake mushrooms, as well as a filet of beef tenderloin accompanied by shallot confit, twice-baked bliss potatoes, Gruyere, and fig jus. The meal will conclude with a decadent dark chocolate pot de crème for dessert.
