BMX Has Steered Into Tulsa and Named OSU Medical As Its Top Pick For Official Sports Medicine Partner

USA BMX

The jumps and tracks are state-of-the-art and ready for BMX-ers of all talent levels. Although we hate to think about someone getting hurt, there’s a talented group of docs partnered up and ready to treat!

  • OSU Doctors Ready to Serve: USA BMX Foundation announced that Oklahoma State University Medicine will be the organization’s official sports medicine partner for USA BMX racing events at Hardesty National BMX Stadium, BMX Foundation youth programs, and the USA Cycling National Team. This partnership is set to provide essential medical care and support to a wide spectrum of the BMX community, spanning from beginner riders to elite-level athletes.

  • Brush Up On the Big Screen: Speaking at Tulsa’s BMX stadium, Olympian gold medalist and BMX Performance Director Jamie Staff said the national BMX team has struggled on the world stage due to lack of resources. “We're sick and tired of getting beaten when we go to international competitions, so we’re really thrilled about this opportunity with OSU. This will hopefully take my team to the next level and give us so many new opportunities for development,” said Staff.

Room For Cream Please! Local Collective Company is Making Sure Local Coffee Companies Have Room on Wal-Mart Shelves Too

Local Collective

Local Collective is bringing local to the masses and empowering local coffee roasters by giving them a way to be stocked on Walmart’s shelves in dedicated local sections.

  • Aroma Advocates: It’s definitely a two cup kind of day when you are a business owner and you want to get your products onto Walmart’s shelves. There’s a jolly java company that is helping local coffee businesses do just that. Simply put, Local Collective will help get coffee roasters’ products on Wal-Mart store shelves in the same neck of the woods as their coffee houses.

  • But First, Coffee: Local Collective has done the leg work of convincing Walmart of the importance of featuring a locally roasted section of coffee beans and other products on the coffee aisle. Topeca Coffee in Tulsa is pumped about the perk. “My Mother-in-law’s family has been growing coffee since about 1850. It is such an honor to now be able to work with Walmart,” said Topeca Co-Owner Chip Gaberino. If you live in the Tulsa area keep your eye out next time you pick up groceries, and you’ll see a variety of Topeca’s brews in the coffee aisle.
