Tulsa’s Kolbi Jordan Receives Platinum Ticket!

Tulsa’s Kolbi Jordan was the standout on American Idol’s season premiere Sunday night. After impressing the judges with Chrisette Michele’s Epiphany (I’m Leaving), she earned a golden ticket—but her journey didn’t stop there.

In a special segment filmed at a Tennessee Titans game, Jordan performed for the crowd and was awarded the coveted platinum ticket, allowing her to skip the first round in Hollywood. Since its 2022 introduction, only three contestants per season receive this honor.

The 2016 Union High School graduate charmed judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan before even singing. Richie even called Patti LaBelle, a personal idol of Jordan’s, so they could briefly chat.

“You are so good,” Underwood told Jordan, praising her dynamic voice. With this head start, Jordan’s Idol journey is already off to an incredible start.
