Meals On Wheels Announces Home Safety Day

Meals on Wheels Tulsa

Meals on Wheels delivers much more than food. Volunteers deliver compassion along the way.

  • More Than a Meal: While food delivery is critical for many Tulsa seniors, so is face to face contact with people who care. Some Meals on Wheels clients need a little sprucing up around the house too. MOW has a home safety program that offers security with small tasks that are a big deal. Installing grab bars, building wheel chair ramps, checking smoke detectors and replacing light bulbs are just a few ways volunteers can help.

  • Handy Home: Meals on Wheels needs volunteers for Home Safety Day happening February 24th. You can sign up to help homebound individuals live safely and independently, reduce the risk of injury and enhance their quality of life.

New Restaurant Opens in Tulsa SOBO District

Tulsa Daily

The South Boston District has another new hot spot where the drinks are cold and the friends are warm.

  • Seeing Red: Tina’s is celebrating its first few months of being open in the SOBO District so we dropped in for a sweet sip. The Doubleshot Martini was magical but the Smashburger was an absolute smash. Throw in some fries or pimento dip and both your savory and sweet tooth are satisfied.

  • Tina’s Tinis: Tina’s sits on the same row as TXMZ and Dalesandro’s. The set up is super swanky. Walk up to the bar to order the goods and a friendly server will bring it over to your table. They’ve got a great happy hour and we couldn’t help but chuckle at the ’Girl Lunch’ options on the menu.
