Even Scrooge is excited about the possibility of catching some great shows at Tulsa Performing Arts Center before 2023 comes to a close.

  • Curtain Call: A Christmas Carol takes the PAC stage through December 23rd and it’s a show performed by the American Theater Company full of hope and redemption. It may be midnight in the house but you still have time to see The Nutcracker which also runs through the 23rd.

  • What’s Up Next: Ring in the new year with ‘the nicest kids in town’ as Hairspray dances into town January 2nd through the 7th. Watch a young man sing in his own key and work his way up to the top of the gospel choir with Choir Boy. It runs January 26th through February 4th

It’s Time for Boots and Chaps and Cowboy Hats as PBR Bucks Into Town

Professional Bull Riders

This ain’t no bull! 30 of the best bull riders in the world will hold tight in Tulsa in January.

  • Unleash the Beast: Saddle up, it’s time for Pro Bull Riding. It’s the 20th consecutive season that Tulsa will host PBR presented by Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The 2 night bucking battle begins January 19th with the championship round on January 20th.

  • 8 Second Seats : It's a real nail biter the whole family can see. Some ticket holders will see the flare of the nostrils up close and personal with elite seating available. Tickets to catch the rough rides and reactions go on sale Friday the 15th.

City of Tulsa Leads the Way in New Home Construction

There have been a record number of new home for 2023 with 447 homes starting construction this year.

  • If You Build It: City leaders say the new home builds are a testament to Tulsa's continued growth and development. New housing construction is a key economic indicator that spurs more success in Tulsa. There’s more spending on appliances and furniture, and the increase in housing shows the strength of our market.

  • They Will Come: Mayor G.T. Bynum says he wants to keep the strong partnership between home builders and the City of Tulsa. The New Residential Construction report from the U.S. Census Bureau includes housing completion data and a count of building permits from the building permit offices. In addition to Tulsa's strong showing, Broken Arrow, Wagoner County, and Bixby have seen big growth in new home construction in 2023.

University of Tulsa Celebrates Half a Century of Nursing Program Success

The nurse will see you now. In its 50th year of excellence, TU Nursing School celebrates good health and a growing future.

  • Let’s Get Your Vitals: The TU School of Nursing is celebrating the fact that it graduates Bachelor of Science (BSN) prepared nurses when historically, most nursing programs focused on diplomas and associate degrees in nursing. It’s a step that started in the early 1970’s.

  • Pulse Check: In 2015, the University added a doctoral degree, and a new nurse anesthesia program was introduced in 2020. The first nurse anesthetist cohort graduated in August. TU’s NA program is the first and only in the state of Oklahoma. The School of Nursing plans to offer new online nursing programs within the 2023-24 academic year.

Tulsa International Airport Announces Plans For New and Improved Lounge

You can soon lounge in style at TIA with unlimited food, a full bar, and high-speed internet access.

  • Come Fly With Me: The TIA Board of Directors approved theEscape Lounge’ and construction will start immediately. Memberships will be available closer to opening with discounted rates for military and AAA members and complimentary access for certain credit card holders. Anyone can feel like a VIP with day passes that can be purchased at $45 per person.

  • Lounge VIP Style: The new lounge built to the tune of $2.3M will hold about 60 passengers flying out of Tulsa with a relaxing vibe and locally sourced food and beverages made by in-house chefs. It is scheduled to open by Fall 2024.
