Skip the Cocktails, I’ll Have a Mocktail! Tulsa’s First Sober Speakeasy Pop Up Opens Friday

Raising the Bar

It’s no secret that the number of people struggling with alcoholism spiked during COVID-19 quarantines. Sober Speakeasy offers belly laughs without the booze.

  • Hold the Alcohol: When Tulsa entrepreneur Jeff Thompson lost a dear friend suddenly to alcohol abuse in 2019, he was inspired to raise the bar on supporting sober curiosity. Tulsa’s first Sober Speakeasy

will be launched by Straight-Edge Lounge with a pop up event at Tulsa’s Foolish Things from 6pm to 10pm.

  • Liquor Free Line-up : The event features a live painting by local artist Nicole Montgomery which will be auctioned off to support Sangha House, a local men’s recovery community. Live music and care free concoctions will be served up. Recognizing everyone follows their own path with drinking and 21 years sober himself, Thompson says the monthly events could spark sobriety for more Tulsans.
