I Quit! Oklahoma Resignation Rates Are Near the Top In the Country
3.4% of Oklahoman’s ditched their jobs in just the last month alone.
Walking Papers: The United States is experiencing a phenomenon called the great resignation according to Wallethub. Oklahoma ranks 5th in the nation when it comes to people quitting their jobs with West Virginia being first and Massachusetts being last.
Resignation Reasons: Some experts say that the decline in labor force is because many older people felt they could stop working because their 401k’s grew rapidly in 2021 and 2022. They say rising asset values, mainly homes, gave people more confidence to turn in their notices. Despite the WalletHub ranking, Oklahoma’s unemployment rate remains at record-low levels.
