Tulsa Girls Home Breaks Ground on 2 New Townhomes

Tulsa Girls Home

Tulsa Girls Home gives foster girls a place to live, heal and hope. Now, the girls aging out of foster care will have a place to call a temporary home of their own.

  • Shovels for Success: Tulsa Girls Home is relocating to Jenks this May. The home will welcome more girls in need of high quality residential care for those in Oklahoma foster care. The girls find healing through therapies and trauma-informed programs that promote the development of social and relationship healing.

  • Teachable Townhomes: The new site has enough land to build four townhomes to help the girls aging out of foster care make their way into the world and eventually live on their own. They broke ground on two of those townhomes today!

Tulsa’s Gathering Place Sprouts New Routines for Spring

Gathering Place

The sun goes down later, and Gathering Place just got greater!

  • Gather for Greatness: With more sunlight hanging around T-town, the Gathering Place has extended park hours. The park where nature meets City is blooming with bright colors just in time for spring break. See the Chapman Adventure Playground, the Skate Park and BMX Pump Track, join an action-packed pickup game of basketball or journey through the luscious urban gardens.

  • Spring Into Action: As for safety, parents and caretakers can stop by the Guest Services desk in Williams Lodge to pick up a wristband for their child. Parents and caretakers can write down their phone number and attach the band to their child’s wrist so that staff can easily find parents and caretakers who have been separated from their child.
