Tulsa International Airport Announces Plans to Build International Concourse

Narrate

It seems like a really good week to throw a swimsuit in a bag and hit the beach! TIA is about to make that possible with more direct international flights!

  • Take Me Away: First they announce a new VIP Lounge is under construction and now major Improvements for nonstop international flights landing in the next 5 years. Construction on a new Federal Inspection Services wing of the airport will start next month. The $30M project will include customs and an international terminal.

  • A Sweet Escape: The largest international destination is Cancun right now with about 50 passengers a day. It jumps to about 80 in the summer. Los Cabos, Mexico was the second most popular international flight destination. Airport officials say direct flights would start on a limited schedule instead of daily once the new wing is complete.

McNellie’s Group is Turning 20 and Opens 2 New Restaurants

Tulsa Daily

This year marks 20 years since McNellies Group opened their first restaurant in Tulsa. They welcome the new year with 2 new restaurants in Tulsa.

  • Pretty in Pink: If you want to enjoy an upscale, vintage, greasy spoon type diner, Maple Ridge Grocer is it! Tucked away in the walkable Maple Ridge Neighborhood, it has a fantastic salmon burger with fries shaped like little scoopers for ketchup that didn’t go unnoticed by the kids.

  • Where Everybody Knows Your Name: Just next door is Bishop Quigley’s and it feels like ‘Cheers.’ It has an Irish pub vibe with antique looking barstools and a simple but memorable menu with brown soup, fish and chips, and of course Guinness. Both new restaurants are open everyday.
