Thousands Expected to Run the Streets of Tulsa Sunday
The Williams Route 66 Marathon is about to cross the finish line. Here’s what you need to know for Sunday.
Road Closures: We gotta keep those runners safe! You are probably already seeing the no parking signs and police barricades sitting along the course roadsides in T-Town. Most of downtown, midtown and Riverside Drive will be affected. Plan ahead if you need to get somewhere on time. Here’s a look at the course maps.
Run this Town: The races are on the mother of all roads, Route 66, and will include a one mile fun run for little ones, a 5k run/walk, a half marathon, the full marathon and even a mascot dash. There’s still time to register for the event that started in Tulsa in 2006.
The race is a USATF certified course and a Boston Qualifier and volunteers are needed.
