Dillard’s to Become Clearance Center at Promenade Mall

Tulsa Daily

It’s time to bargain shop as Tulsa’s midtown Dillard’s gets converted to a clearance center.

  • Deal at Dillards: Dillard’s Clearance Center signs have been posted at the one remaining flagship at the Promenade Mall that abruptly closed last year because it couldn’t meet fire code expenses. The midtown site will become a clearance center for Dillard’s products similar to the Bartlesville site.

  • See You at the Register: The Dillard’s Clearance Centers take clothing that hasn’t yet sold from other Dillard’s locations and sells them at a deep discount. The midtown store is clearing out it's existing inventory so now may be a time to shop! The official clearance center will be open by Easter.

Tulsa Innovation Labs Releases Year in Review

Damon’s Droneography

Simply put, Tulsa Innovation Labs wants to make Tulsa THE place for technology and after looking at their 2023 year in review, we’d say it’s working.

  • Let’s Get Technical: A big win by TIL, a group originated by George Kaiser aimed at creating incentives for tech companies to move to Tulsa, is that the Federal Government named the former oil capitol a tech hub. The designation gives a Tulsa Innovation Labs umbrella of companies up to $75M dollars in funding for developing unmanned aerial systems, drones, cybersecurity, and generative AI.

  • New Jobs Much? 200,000 new jobs could be created with the tech hub designation. In addition, TIL launched Build Back Better Programs alongside OSU-Tulsa’s announcement of the LaunchPad. It’s a tech teaching program that offers new tools and flexible hours for students who want to dive into tech.

Noise Town Tulsa Celebrates First Year in Business

Noise Town

Noise Town in West Tulsa celebrates the early stages of musical talent and helps foster a community for growth.

  • Turn it Up: Noise Town Tulsa started out as a space for musicians to rehearse along with private instruction for younger students. It’s grown with the addition of recording facilities and a performance venue. “We can meet kids at the beginning of their music journey… we are part of that entire journey” for artist said Co-owner Mike Rodriguez.

  • On Key: Calling all beginner guitar players! Sunday’s free workshop will teach you how to clean and maintain, re-string, tune and stretch guitars. It's co-hosted with the Tulsa Guitar Repair so you can bring problem guitars in and take part in a $10 re-string service. Now that’s something to strum about!
