Tulsa Bone and Joint Shows Progress on Expansion to Broken Arrow

Some of the finest Surgeons and Orthopedists in Tulsa will open a new location in Broken Arrow.

  • It’s Got Great Bones: Tulsa Bone and Joint is expanding to Tulsa and they debuted the construction site ‘bones’ for all to see. The latest photos show the progress is on track. The new Broken Arrow clinic is expected to offer an orthopedic urgent care, follow-up appointments and physical therapy.

  • Convenient Care: The East Broken Arrow location is set to open in September of this year. It sits on Highway 51. Patients in BA, Coweta, Wagoner and surrounding communities will be served for all their orthopedic and physical therapy needs. Tulsa Bone and Joint has grown to 34 Physicians since opening in 2000.

Tiny Tulsans are hard at play Saturday mornings at the Gathering Place’s new accessible and sensory-inclusive event series, Tiny Tulsa.

  • Sensitive and Sweet: Every Saturday morning in April and May, ONEOK Boathouse transforms into a tiny version of Tulsa, featuring a farmer's market, food truck, construction truck, post office, art studio and more.

  • Tiny But Mighty: Tiny Tulsa is designed for children with special needs aged Pre-K through 5th grade and features low lighting, soothing sounds, creative toys, art materials, and adaptive play elements. It’s provided by the Explore & Imagine program at Gathering Place, which is sponsored by the AEP-PSO.

Tulsa County Sheriff’s Deputy Honored for Saving Pregnant Woman and Children From Burning Car

Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office

Tulsa County Sheriff’s Deputy Ivan Patino is honored for rescuing a pregnant mother and 11 month old twins from a burning vehicle on September 26th.

  • Safe Keeping: Patino was traveling Northbound on Highway 75 near the 41st and Union exit, when he noticed a truck stopped on the side of the highway. Thank goodness he turned around to check on the people inside. He saw smoke coming from the hood and was able to talk to the pregnant female driver in Spanish, who thought the vehicle was overheating.

  • Full Pride: She and her twins were pulled from the truck and placed in Patino’s vehicle while he used his fire extinguisher to attempt to put out the fire. Kuddos to you, Deputy Patino!
