Oklahoma Aquarium Introduces Moon Jellyfish Touch Pool

KJRH

The Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks recently unveiled a brand new interactive exhibit - the Hardesty Moon Jellyfish Touch Pool. The new addition allows guests to safely touch a jellyfish, providing a unique hands-on experience designed to foster a closer connection with these little marine weirdos.

  • Safe and Informative: The moon jellyfish’s stinger cells are too small to penetrate human skin; touching them does not cause harm or disturbance. The aquarium has a team of biologists ensuring the well-being of the moon jellyfish and providing an immersive educational experience. So basically, the jellyfish have an entourage or butlers - how ever you want to think of it.

  • Thank You, Hardesty Family Foundation: The exhibit was made possible through generous funding from the Hardesty Family Foundation, a significant supporter of community initiatives around these parts.
