A Bartlesville Church Is Being Transformed Into a Film Studio
Bartlesville is booming and just after the release of Killer’s of the Flower Moon, a film shot nearby, the City announced there’s a new film studio coming to town.
Screen School: The Bartlesville City Council held a special meeting Monday to approve several terms to bring Buffalo Roam Studios to Bartlesville. The Historic First Christian Church donated it’s building to the City and Buffalo Roam Studios to make way for the renovation. Add in $2-Million in incentives from the City and construction is ready to begin.
Quiet on Set! 520 South Osage Avenue will be home to some historic film making if City leaders have anything to do with it. They approved the project in hopes that more films like Killers of the Flower moon will come to town. The majority of the film academy and studio is expected to open in July 2024. A new soundstage will be built next to the former First Christian Church, with a full completion date set for the end of December 2025.

Tulsa Schools Are Tightening Up Security Measures At Sporting Events With New Technology
Going to a football game in Tulsa? Be prepared to walk through a metal detector for added safety.
Portable Promises: The portable metal detector at TPS Football games will serve as added security for football fans. It’s a trend happening across the state. Tulsa Public Schools invested more than half a million dollars to improve security. The system is portable which means not every site will have its own unit but operators will be able to move the metal detectors from game to game.
Dedicated to Detection: The company that makes the unit says the system doesn't use any radiation and is safe for expectant mothers and those with medical implants. TPS says the units can also be used indoors and will be used at basketball games and wrestling matches this winter.
