City of Tulsa Leads the Way in New Home Construction

Tulsa Daily

There have been a record number of new home for 2023 with 447 homes starting construction this year.

  • If You Build It: City leaders say the new home builds are a testament to Tulsa's continued growth and development. New housing construction is a key economic indicator that spurs more success in Tulsa. There’s more spending on appliances and furniture, and the increase in housing shows the strength of our market.

  • They Will Come: Mayor G.T. Bynum says he wants to keep the strong partnership between home builders and the City of Tulsa. The New Residential Construction report from the U.S. Census Bureau includes housing completion data and a count of building permits from a separate survey of building permit offices. In addition to Tulsa's strong showing, Broken Arrow, Wagoner County, and Bixby have seen big growth in new home construction in 2023.
