Buh-Bye Halloween, Shop For Christmas at ‘Art Market After Dark’

Find one of a kind art just in time for gift giving season this Friday at Art Market After Dark.

  • Delectable Darkness: Art Market After Dark opens at Guthrie Green Friday night. It’s a free event with live music, food trucks and more than 20 local vendors. Get your shop on from 6pm to 9pm.

  • Dream On: The free to enter events continue through the weekend at Guthrie Green with a concert Saturday and Salsa Dancing Sunday. Dreamland Tulsa happens Saturday night with headliner LaNell Grant. Sunday Salsa on the Green steps into action at 7p with a free dance lesson followed by a divine dance party.

Tulsa Nonprofit ‘Blessings To Share’ is Empowering Neurodiverse Adults in Tulsa

Blessings to Share Foundation

The power of positivity is strong at the Blessings to Share Foundation where neurodiverse adults are empowered to self actualization.

  • Community That Cares: The C.A.R.E.S (Care, Advocate, Resource, Empower, Support) Club of BTS Foundation allows participants a place to hang out, volunteer, cook lunch and grow skills to better help them become intertwined with the community.

  • Supportive Skills: About 25% of adults have some kind of disability. The Blessings to Share Foundation has empowered neurodiverse adults, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and Autism, since its founding in 2019. From exercise classes and religious studies to coaching on friend making, BTS has changed hundreds of lives.

A New Study Shows That Oklahoma State Parks Need $350M in Improvements

Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation

The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department predicts $350M is needed to repair the capitol infrastructure at State Parks across Oklahoma.

  • State Park Study: The study was organized by Rep. Tammy Townley who said recreation and tourism is the state’s 3rd largest economic driver. The study revealed that cabin rentals, campgrounds, and restrooms are in need of major upgrades to keep tourism alive in Oklahoma.

  • Close to Home: Keystone, Turkey Mountain, and Council Oak State Parks are some of the closest to Tulsa. If awarded the funding, it could be spread throughout 8 to 10 years. According to the study, immediate funding of $50M could allow the parks department to address critical maintenance needs over the next 12 months.

Tickets for the Tulsa Botanic Garden of Lights are Now On Sale

The Tulsa Botanic Garden is putting away the pumpkins to make way for its annual light show that organizers say will be bigger than ever.

  • Get Lit: It is becoming a yearly tradition for families to bundle up and behold the lights at the Garden. A snowball pit, family crafts, live jazz music, train rides, a tour of thousands of lights and plenty of hot cocoa will be served at the event that runs Nov. 24th through Dec. 30th.

  • Tinsel and Tickets: Botanic Garden of Lights organizers say it’s a good idea to get your tickets now. Some of the popular weekend nights sell out. They’ve even created a ‘how to’ video on securing spots at the magical moonlit memory making light experience.

Construction Starts at $2B American Heartland Theme Park in Green Country

The golden shovels are out at American Heartland just east of Vinita.

  • Let’s Go Glamping: The group broke ground on the Three Ponies RV Park and Campground earlier this week. The Park will have 750 RV spaces and up to 300 cabins. The campground is the first phase of the larger project that will include a dinner theatre, amphitheater, swimming pool, and clubhouse. This portion of the total 1,000 acre project will cost about $100M.

  • Disney Dupe: Some have described the theme park that is expected to bring visitors from around the world as Oklahoma’s version of Disneyland. It will open in the fall of 2026.
