Downtown Tulsa Partnership Hires Coordinator for Homeless Outreach Program
With about 1,100 Tulsans experiencing homelessness in 2023, Downtown Tulsa Partnership launched a new program to help.
Homeless But Hopeful: Shelter, supplies and mental health support are the 3 main components of the new pilot outreach project by DTP. They’ve hired a new outreach coordinator who will interact with those who are struggling, helps meet their immediate needs, and connects them to other resources in the community.
Rise Up: The 6% increase in Tulsa County homelessness from 2022 to 2023 has caring hearts doubling down on the work to be done to help. The outreach pilot program that launched last fall is funded by Ascension St. John Medical Center.
