Enjoy a Holiday Tea Before Seeing the Nutcracker
It’s time for a high tea with your sweeties before watching sugar plums dance in their heads.
Spoon Full of Sugar: As if seeing the dazzling dancers of the Tulsa Ballet perform The Nutcracker isn’t enough, now you can top the night off with a tea party. The Nutcracker Holiday Teas are held one hour prior to the matinee performances. Enjoy a merry experience complete with tea sandwiches, goodies, and the warmest sips of the sweet stuff.
Midnight in the House: Pinkies up! Someone from the Land of Sweets may even stop by for a photo opportunity. The Nutcracker Holiday Teas start Saturday December 9th and go through weekends until the 23rd.

Tulsa’s Phoenix District Announces New Pop Up Shops Just in Time for Holiday Shopping
It’s time to shop north Tulsa’s newest improvement district.
Bright and Shiny: The Phoenix District Better Block Initiative was launched in the fall as a way to develop the area at 1124 E. 36th St. N. It includes vendor stalls and booths that invite you in with vibrant, energizing colors.
Better Block Boost: The Phoenix Development Council, George Kaiser Family Foundation and the City of Tulsa’s Vibrant Neighborhoods Partnership are working together to make the area a more vibrant place to live, work, and gather. The pop-up zones will feature small businesses, live music, performances, community workshops, and more.

The University of Tulsa Receives Part of $750,000 NASA Grant
It’s time for take off! TU has been awarded a grant from NASA to develop solar cells for the NASA Artemis moon mission .
One Step For Mankind: Some TU students are ready to launch their ideas after being awarded part of the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research grant from NASA. This award totals $750,000 over three years, of which TU will receive $135,000.
Spectacular Science: The team at TU will be working on the electrical characterization of the solar cells fabricated explicitly for the conditions on the moon. Say what? Trust us, TU’s got this.

Santa Claus is Coming to Tulsa Christmas Parade Saturday
The Tulsa Christmas Parade takes to the streets Saturday with almost 100 years of magic.
Move Along Scrooge: The Tulsa Christmas parade has been dazzling spectators since 1926 and this year it’s expected to be merry and bright. It all happens in downtown Tulsa on Saturday Dec. 9th and you are invited to enter a float or soak in the magic from the side of the street.
Poised for the Parade: The parade starts and 11a with a rockin’ around the Chrsitmas tree route and there’s a raffle this year with a chance to win thousands. The ‘Split the Pot’ raffle benefits ‘Soldiers Wish’ and the Tulsa Christmas Parade. Buy a ticket and if your name gets drawn, you get half the cash!

The Oklahoma City Thunder Wants Tulsa Kids to Join Their New Club
You don’t have to go the Oklahoma City to be a part of a new Thunder fan club. Now there’s a mobile app that helps youth Thunder up.
Slam Dunk: The Oklahoma City Thunder has announced a new, free online program for kids called Thunder Rookies Club. Young Thunder fans can earn points through clicks and get exclusive team prizes, experiences and admission to the Science Museum of Oklahoma.
Thunder Up Tikes: The Thunder partnered up with the Science Museum of Oklahoma to offer activities like trivia, digital games, voting polls, live and pre-recorded engagements, and more. Go get your game on!
