Oklahoma Aquarium Offers Sensory Night Tonight

Join the Oklahoma Aquarium on the first Tuesday of the month for sensory night where the vibe is relaxed and the sights are soothing.

  • Soothing Sharks: Sometimes you just need to escape to the ocean without actually leaving town. With low lights and quiet music, all ages can explore the Oklahoma Aquarium without the usual crowd. Each month has a self guided scavenger hunt with a prize for everyone who completes it.

  • Tranquil Turtles: The special night was created to help visitors feel comfortable seeing the calming sights of the sharks gliding, the sea turtles swimming, and the jelly fish light up the night with limited access to the aquarium. Members get in free and the fun starts at 6p.

Tulsa Woman to Defend Her World Pizza Champion Title in March

Tara Hattan started working in the pizza business at 16 and she’s sliced up her skills to restaurant co-owner and World Pizza Champion for acrobatics.

  • Pass the Pie: Tara is tops when it comes to making the perfect pizza and wings at her Mother Road Market Restaurant Zasa’s Pizza. She also manages the kitchen at Andolini’s where she originally started spinning the dough that led her to the 2021 Championship win.

  • Spin and Slice: The World Pizza Champions is an international nonprofit that raises money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Last year it raised over $40,000. Tara is headed to Las Vegas in March to defend her title at the International Pizza Expo that takes place March 19-21.

Strictly Gershwin to Takes Center Stage With Special VIP Viewing

Give our regards to Broadway! Strictly Gershwin is a blockbuster performance that promises to be the entertainment event of the year.

  • Dynamic Deco: Guest tap dancers and vocalists will join a huge cast of performers with the music of George and Ira Gershwin. You will be transported to the golden age of Hollywood. The choreography is a glamorous and complex blend of classical ballet and the unmistakable moves of 1920’s Broadway.

  • Speak Easy to Me: The show happens Feb 9-11 with a special VIP patron night Thursday. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the Tulsa Ballet at ‘Preview Night’ where you can enjoy ballet and beer while watching the final dress rehearsal VIP style.

New Downtown Tulsa Restaurant Brings Burritos With a Twist

You had us as slow cooked, local soda-braised brisket. Red Dirt Burrito Company is now open at 6th St. and Boston Ave.

  • Not Your Basic Burrito: Red Dirt Burrito sits in the former Sandos Rockin' Deli spot and while salads are still served, you might be up for a pulled pork burrito loaded with your favorite toppings. For sides, they have rice, beans, house-shredded white cheddar cheese and more.

  • Vegan Variety: Not a fan of meat? Vegans will love Red Dirt's vegan chorizo and potato option. Red Dirt is owned by Tony and Emily Galvez and sits near their other restaurants, Copaneazi's Pizzeria and The Local Bison. It’s open for lunch Monday through Saturday and dinner Monday through Thursday.
