Tulsa County Ponders Courthouse Replacement or Revamp

Courthouses.co
Tulsa County might be getting a courthouse makeover. The county is considering options to replace or renovate the current 70-year-old courthouse, a step taken in response to insufficient space and outdated infrastructure.
A Judicial Facelift: Despite the recent surge in demand for court services, the current courthouse feels a wee bit cramped despite numerous expansions and renovations. The County hired a consultant back in April to explore the best possible solutions, with the report due on September 15th.
Location, Location, Location: From renovating an existing building to building a new one, every option is on the table. One of the potential sites for the new courthouse is the now-closed Hiland Dairy Plant on North Denver Avenue, thanks to its ample space and proximity to the Jail.
A decision on how to proceed will be made by the Commissioners before putting the financing plan to the voters, with the goal of ensuring a safe and effective judicial system that caters to the growing needs of Tulsa County. For more details, read on HERE.
