Tulsa Drillers Baseball Announces 2024 Start Times

Tulsa Drillers Baseball

Batter up! It’s time to plan for the 2024 Tulsa Drillers Baseball Season.

  • Take Me Out: There will be 69 Drillers baseball games played at home at ONEOK Field this upcoming season with most of those being evening games. Show up early and jump in the splash pads, grab your popcorn and take a picture with Hornsby!

  • Sold on Security: We told you back in October that The Tulsa Drillers entered into an agreement to sell a majority stake to Diamond Baseball Holdings. Fans won’t see much of a difference and team leaders say the deal only secures the Drillers spot at ONEOK Field, a crown jewel of the community and the club’s home since 2010.

The Drillers complete 2024 schedule, with home start times, can be viewed HERE.

Fourth Downtown Temporary Art Installation is on Display

Urban Art Core Project

Downtown Tulsa’s latest temporary public art installation is on display at The Dome, the former First Church of Christ Scientist Building.

  • Colorful Collaboration: Internationally renowned artist, Rachel Hayes, used fabric to create the large-scale work. Her goal is to insert color and form into both built and natural environments. “Reflection Mode” is Hayes first major installation in Tulsa. Hayes has exhibited her work at institutions from coast to coast and around the world.

  • Divine Displays: The temporary art installation is one of many since 2012 put on by Urban Core Art Project. The organization specializes in the art of bringing public art to underutilized spaces in hopes to bring more people downtown and appreciate their surroundings in new ways.

Neighborhood Beautifying Efforts Are Becoming Streamlined With New Tracking System

Tulsa Daily

The Tulsa Planning Office announced a new tool called the Neighborhood Conditions Index to enhance neighborhoods throughout the City.

  • Won’t You Be My Neighbor: The Neighborhood Conditions Index or NIC is a map of sorts that sections Tulsa off into 80 different neighborhoods. Instead of labeling them broad areas like north Tulsa or midtown Tulsa, the map zooms in on specific areas for study. Based on the results, neighborhood improvements can be better made and tracked by City leaders.

  • Under the Microscope: The 80 areas are considered for improvement and a comprehensive report is generated that provides a data driven detailed look into the good, the bad and the ugly. The NIC collects data across nine categories: land use, parks and recreation, transportation, and culture.
