Tulsa Is the First in Oklahoma to Become a Certified Welcoming City
They don’t call us the “world’s largest small town” for nothing. Tulsans are known for rolling out the red carpet and now there’s even more proof.
Relax and Stay a While: Welcoming America is a national nonprofit organization that has announced the City of Tulsa as a Certified Welcoming place. They define us as a strong community that intentionally connects and includes people of all backgrounds.
You Can Totally Sit With Us: Certified Welcoming is a formal designation for cities and counties that have created policies and programs reflecting their values and commitment to immigrant inclusion. The formal certificate will be presented to T-Town on Dec 6th along with a more detailed look at the report that shows why Tulsa was chosen.
The former oil capitol of the world is one of 20 cities and counties in the U.S. with the honor. Read more about the Welcoming City HERE.

Tulsa Has Been Named an Official Tech Hub, What Happens Next
The good news about Tulsa keeps flowing and so does the attraction for tech companies to set up shop here.
Technically Speaking: Since T-Town Received the EDA Tech Hubs Designation with it’s ‘Equitable & Trustworthy Autonomy’ Proposal, the City is now set up to receive funding that helps grow existing tech companies and attract more. For example, there up to $500M for grabs nationwide as part of a historic investment in U.S. economic competitiveness and national security.
Team of Techs: Tulsa’s proposal, the Tulsa Hub for Equitable and Trustworthy Autonomy, will advance the development of autonomous technologies. That’s fancy language for, we know how to make drones, cameras, cyber security, and AI programs and we do it well.
