A $2-Billion Entertainment Destination Development is Coming to Green Country

Three Ponies RV Park and Camp

Phase one of American Heartland Theme Park and Resort will break ground October 30th.

  • Take Me Glamping: the 3 phase project will kick off with a large scale RV park with cabins called Three Ponies RV Park and Campground opening in 2025. The destination will be located in Vinita with 750 RV spaces, 300 cabins, a dinner theater, amphitheater and pool.

  • If You Build it, They Will Come: The American Heartland Theme Park and Resort is expected to bring more than 4,000 jobs to the region. It is being compared to parks like Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. Developers expect more than 4.9-million guests to visit per year. That’s more than Oklahoma’s population.

The first keynote speaker at Oral Roberts University’s new luncheon series to speak is Hans Helmerich on October 26th.

  • Partners in ‘PECE’: The ORU Fenimore and Fisher College of Business announced the new luncheon speaker series called PECE (pronounced “peace”) which stands for Partners in Economics, Commerce, and Entrepreneurship. PECE offers a networking space with a goal to inspire business leaders.

  • Hans and the Healing Hands: ORU is known for the praying hands and transformational board of reference members like Hans Helmerich. With his experience at Helmerich & Payne, as Chairman of the Board since 2012 and former CEO of the company since 1989, he will discuss mentorship at the event.

Catoosa’s Famous Landmark, The Blue Whale Park Is Getting Major Upgrades

A master plan has been revealed to upgrade the park with better bathrooms, some vacation rentals and putt-putt golf.

  • Blues Traveler: The Route 66 landmark in Catoosa is up for $6-Million in renovations if the Catoosa City Council agrees. The whale itself will remain untouched outside of routine maintenance but improvements surrounding it could include a waterfall and a paved walkway in addition to the overnight suites and activities for families.

  • Kick Off Your Boots and Stay a While: The blue whale was built in 1972 by zoologist Hugh S. Davis. It stands 20 feet tall and 80 feet long. The City of Catoosa is hoping to attract more visitors to the historic Route 66 park that will keep families searching for kicks in town for a little longer each time.
